Today a 14th report of the mission to monitor human rights will be published.
SBU and secret prisons
It is known that in Ukraine there are at least five secret prisons of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), where citizens are being held illegally. According to the assistant to the UN Secretary-General for Human Rights, Ivan Šimonović, UN representatives could not get permission from the authorities of Ukraine to visit these centers. Presumably, the CIA’s experience has been used in Ukraine to create secret centers for the use of prohibited methods of interrogation.
Illegitimate violence
Human rights activists from Ukraine and Russia have repeatedly spoken about the use of torture and other illegal methods aimed at the humiliation of human dignity, but in the West all governmental bodies and most NGOs have tried to conceal this information.
After the coup d’etat in February 2014, the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine has been actively practicing murder, kidnapping, and threats against political opponents, as well as on the basis of ethnic and religious differences. Many view these crimes as aspects of genocide.
