St. Petersburg has warmest May since 1907


St. Petersburg had the warmest average May temperature since 1907, Interfax reported on Tuesday.

The report said the average May temperature in St. Petersburg was recorded at 14.7 degrees centigrade, 3.8 degrees centigrade higher than normal. It caused early tree blossom in the city gardens.

St. Petersburg reportedly had the highest May temperature in 1897.
