Gazprom beats record of gas supplies to Europe third time in row

Gazprom’s daily supplies of natural gas to non-CIS countries amounted to 587.8 mln cubic meters on October 20 and were above historic figures of two prior days, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian gas holding Alexei Miller said on Friday in an interview with NTV TV Channel.

“This week has become a record-breaking for Gazprom. On October 20 we again improved the all-time high daily gas export to non-CIS countries, for the third time in the last three days. The new all-time high figure is 587.8 mln cubic meters of gas, 8.3 mln cubic meters above the figure of October 19 and 8.9 mln – as of October 18,” Miller said.

Winter has not yet come and it means the demand for Russian gas will continue growing, Miller said. Gazprom is ready “for continuing growth of gas demand in Europe for decades to come,” he added.

Gazprom recorded the previous all-time high daily export supplies of natural gas to non-CIS countries on October 19, when they totaled 579.5 mln cubic meters.

It was reported earlier Gazprom boosted natural gas export to non-CIS countries by 9.6% or 11.8 bln cubic meters from January 1 to October 15, 2016.
