Шестнадцатый этап кругосветного путешествия Solar Impulse 2


Solar Impulse 2 завершил шестнадцатый по счету участок кругосветного маршрута. Самолет на солнечных батареях приземлился в Каире 13 июля в 8 часов 10 минут по московскому времени. Полет продлился 48 часов 50 минут, за штурвалом Solar Impulse 2 находился Андре Боршберг, сообщает сайт nplus1.ru.

Solar Impulse 2 — самолет на солнечных батареях, не использующий ископаемого топлива для полета. Размах крыла самолета составляет 72 метра, масса воздушного судна 2300 килограммов, из которых около одной тонны весят 17248 ячеек солнечных батарей. Впереди у Solar Impulse 2 остался завершающий этап кругосветного путешествия — перелет в Абу-Даби, откуда самолет на солнечных батареях вылетел 9 марта 2015 года.
